-- Chippewa Valley Council -- Merit Badge Clinic Boy Scout Leader Training I & II Location: St Johns Lutheran Church 1804 Highland Avenue Eau Claire Date: Saturday, October 18, 2003 Schedule: Registration 8:15 to 8:55 AM Session 9:00 to 12:00 Lunch 12:00 to 12:40 PM Session 12:45 to 3:45 Leader Training: · Boy Scout Leader Training I & II will be offered at the same time as the Merit Badge Clinic sessions Clinic Information: · Classes will be limited in size to facilitate a good working Scout-to-Counselor ratio · Scouts must bring a pencil(s) and paper. · Blue cards can be filled out prior to the Clinic or they will be available at the Clinic. Scouts must demonstrate to the Counselor an understanding of each requirement before the cards will be signed. · Time will be allotted for review of requirements with the Scouts and signing of the blue cards. · Scouts are encouraged to review the merit badge requirements and study them before attending the clinic sessions to ensure sign-off. · Merit badge books will be for sale at the Clinic for those Scouts who wish to have their own book. · All attendees must provide their own bag lunch or transportation to local restaurants. · Any questions call the Council Office at 832-6671. Unit Leaders: · Units are encouraged to arrange for transportation of your Scouts to the Clinic. Park in the large lot behind the church. Follow the signs to the appropriate entrance door. · Feel free to make and forward copies of this announcement. Scouts can bring a tape of the interview or the questions asked and answers written out. The purpose is to find out about the life of that person and important dates in their life (birth, death, marriage, names of parents and/or siblings etc.) For requirement #5- A copy of a genealogical document. This can be a birth, death, marriage certificate, a family Bible with a family tree, baptismal certificate, a picture of a family gravestone.
