Jackson Sedivy to be awarded Eagle Scout rank

Eagle Court of Honor scheduled for Sunday, April 22, 2018

The highest award from the Boy Scouts of America -- the rank of Eagle Scout -- will be awarded Sunday, April 22, 2018 to a Scout in Troop 72 of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Jackson Sedivy, 17, will receive the Eagle Award in a Court of Honor ceremony at 4:00 p.m. that Sunday at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E. South Ave., Chippewa Falls. All are welcome.

Jackson is the son of Jordan and Joelle Sedivy of rural Chippewa Falls. He is a junior at "Chi-Hi" (Chippewa Falls Senior High School).

In Scouting, Jackson has helped lead the 30-member troop as Quartermaster, Patrol Leader, and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader while participating in dozens weekend campouts during his six years with the troop. He served as Acting Senior Patrol Leader, heading up a weekend for 36 guys, for the troop's biggest campout of 2017. In addition, Jackson attended summer camp for four years, was elected to Order of the Arrow, the "honor society" of Scouting, and has attended week-long National Youth Leader Training.

For his Eagle project, Jackson led a team of Scouts in refinishing the gymnasium floor at Christ Lutheran School.

The public is invited to the Court of Honor Sunday.
