Troop 72 at Philmont 2014: Day 1
June 27 through July 11, 2014, the Scouts of Troop72.com embarked on the greatest adventure in Scouting: PHILMONT!

Day 1 (6/28/14): Amtrak to Philmont Base Camp

We drove four hours from Chippewa Falls to the small town of Mendota, Illinois to catch the Amtrak, stopping at a food court and at an REI in Madison. The boys LOVED riding the rails! We arrived a few hours late, but Philmont is used to dealing with that.

Here are a some photos I took with my FZ50 camera.
