Troop 72 at Philmont 2014: Day 14
June 27 through July 11, 2014, the Scouts of Troop72.com embarked on the greatest adventure in Scouting: PHILMONT!

Day 14 (7/11/14): Amtrak to HOME!

Once again we rode the rails through the night, watching the sun set and rise again. When we got to Mendota, Illinois, we only stopped for a quick bite to eat when we fueled up the tanks, so we get home before it got too late. It never felt better to drift off to sleep in our own beds! And now Philmont 2014 is just a memory of another great Scouting adventure.
