Kyle Seiberling to be awarded Eagle Scout rank

Eagle Court of Honor scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023

The highest award from the Boy Scouts of America -- the rank of Eagle Scout -- will be awarded Saturday, April 8, 2023 to a Scout in Troop 72 of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Kyle Seiberling, 18, will receive the Eagle Award in a Court of Honor ceremony at 1:00 p.m. that Saturday at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E. South Ave., Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (see map). All are welcome.

Kyle is the son of Steve and Monica Seiberling of Cadott. He is a senior at Cadott High School where he is active in Concert and Marching Band, Jazz Band, Golf, Chess & Game Club, and Archery, where he has shot at the Eastern Nationals each year since 2018 and qualified for the World Championships in 2019.

Kyle is enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) and transcripted college classes, making the High Honor Roll and Chippewa Valley Technical College President's List with a weighted GPA of 4.133.

In Scouting, Kyle has participated in over 30 camp-outs since joining Troop 72 in 2016, including Camp Phillips summer camps and the 2022 "Thirmicat" canoe trip down the Namekagon River. He has also held many leadership positions including Senior Patrol Leader (SPL), Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) and Patrol Leader (PL). Kyle was elected to The Order of the Arrow in 2021 (Scouting's "National Honor Society") where he has earned the rank of Brotherhood.

For his Eagle Scout project, after community fundraising and design planning, Kyle led a team of Scouts in the construction of seven sturdy picnic tables for the Cadott School District to allow students to eat lunch in the great outdoors.

The public is invited to celebrate Kyle's accomplishments at the Court of Honor on April 8.
