Troop 72 at Philmont 2014: Day 10
June 27 through July 11, 2014, the Scouts of Troop72.com embarked on the greatest adventure in Scouting: PHILMONT!

Day 10 (7/07/14): Layover at Cimmaroncito (elev. 8144)

We had a much-needed layover day at Cimmaroncito. At the risk of appearing LAZY, we actually slept in until 6:05 a.m. this morning! Because we didn't have to pack and go, we ate our only hot breakfast of the trip, dehydrated scrambled eggs and sausage. We had a great time ROCK CLIMBING in the morning, and then got to relax for much of the day -- reading, using the climbing walls, taking more showers, and hanging out on the great front porch with guitars, harmonics, and singing. We even played some volleyball!
